Blue Screen wants to grow 60% in 2021 and increase its international business by 75%

The Portuguese technology company has expanded operations to Mexico in 2020. The goal for 2021 is to grow the team by more than 20% and maintain a 75% export level.

Blue Screen IT Solutions wants to grow between 50% to 60% in 2021 to reach 2 million euros. To meet the expected growth, the national technology company wants to increase its team by at least 20%, investing heavily in hiring technical profiles: front-end and full-stack developers, as well as software testers.

Last year Blue Screen expanded its operations into Mexico, where it hired a sales representative, and this year over 75% of turnover is coming from international business.

The company plans to continue expanding markets, although no physical expansion is planned. “The current panorama is quite propitious for remote activity and this has helped us to stand out amongst the market, by maintaining the quality of service, even being teleworking,” explains Frederico Faria de Oliveira, Managing Partner of Blue Screen IT Solutions.

A highlight with a seal of quality, such as ISO 9001 certification, recently obtained by Blue Screen IT Solutions, will help “formalizing the processes and quality standards that we have long adopted, and the vision of Blue Screen, to stand out as a reference of quality and efficiency in software development and systems maintenance services in the IT market, is very aligned with this certification,” says the responsible.

This distinction is complemented by the status of PME Excelência [SME Excellence], which aims to distinguish among the group of SME leaders, the companies with the best performance and that have contributed to the country’s competitive capacity. “This status highlights our competitive capacity on the Portuguese market, thus creating conditions for us to increase our visibility“, adds Frederico Faria de Oliveira.

Besides those two distinctions, Blue Screen also received the Best Workplaces award, which distinguished it as one of the best companies to work for in Portugal. This was, in the opinion of the executive manager and founder, “the confirmation that we care for and esteem the team, a factor that is the basis of our success. Therefore, we seek continuous improvement in the quality of the relationship, integration and evolution of all employees“.
